Baghdad

December 23rd, 2007 by stryker65

WAs at Baghdad with my friends for the closing game. Mucked around. Its been years since i last played Airsoft. Did a few field games then finished the day with CQB(close quarter Battle) games. Felt like a car that ran out of gas. As I said its been a while since i last played. For one day this was pretty loaded. The field games were okay till i had to pee so in the middle of battle i kinda slunk off and found a nice spot (some poor dudes hide) and let go. Goggles got fogged up from the sweat buildup. Will be switching to a larger set soon. MULTICAM Rocks! Chico turned away in the middle of the game and lost us when he turned back. not moving basically made us virtually invisible. The CQB games were a new experience. Volunteered as ladder for Alfred to get in thru the window. Kinda goofed that. I think I’ll need practice room entering. and I also think i’ll need a new smaller gun (thinking MP 7 or MP 5k). Overall enjoyed the game. need to build up endurance which after not playing for a while is virtually non existent. Too bad the place is closing would have loved a few more games here.

VOTE!! Vote!

May 14th, 2007 by stryker65

Went to vote today 12 senatorial candidate 1 mayoral, 1 vice-mayoral , 1 partylist, about half a dozen Councilors. What happened? Lessee I got to the polling place and found out they changed the building where we could vote. So I walked a bit further in the school and proceeded to the second floor (where my neighbors said our names were listed) Immediately found our parents names so went down the southern end of the wing, Nada. Ran into the foreign observers and walked up the Northern end of the building and found our names on the North end of the floor. So we voted. And the rest of the day was done. NOT.

First off I went thru the list of election candidates. picked my Senatorial Line up (Mostly Independents and GO candidates) I didn’t pick Team Unity Candadates because 1) they were mostly in GMA’s Pocket (we don’t want a Rubber stamp Senate) 2) most of the TU candidates were traditional politicians or were from families of TPs 3) Switch hitters (Don’t like those either)

Okay, So i got thru the Senators I proceeded to the Mayoralty candidates. Voted for the Incumbent. Why you might ask? Hmmmm because the alternative was some jerk who believed he was going to win because he was an ACTOR. Uh, No thank you. Didn’t  vote for the president for the same reason. Reagan was a great president because his staff was great too. Erap was a drunk who didn’t oversee his staff. Mr. "Syempre mananalo ako, aktor ako e" just wasn’t convincing. I don’t think we need some stuntman tumbling around the Central business district shooting people and stuff thank you(unless he gets fatally shot in the process that is).
So there i was filling out the ballots and filing it in the ballot box. Then i went down the stairs. Slipped and went down 4 to 5 steps on my bum! some lady screamed and there i was bouncing thinking your screaming and I’m the one going down the stairs real fast. Anywho I got up when i got there(down) and dusted myself off. Lucky i was able to hold onto the rail. The only thing was my forearm(left) got bruised from being landed on in my fall.

Now all i need is to figure out who’ll win.

Is it love?

Ah finally, rest. Spent yesterday dishing out finals and talking to students who at the last minute (I’ve had my sched out for nearly 2 weeks) find that their scheduled finals under me has a conflict with someone elses finals. Generally i give way, even if i have seniority and shouldn’t. Yesterday I didn’t for one of my classes I had no choice cause 1) the test was departmental 2) It required the use of the lab(very hard to get). I proctored 3 classes and only had 30 minute breaks(which were promptly eaten up by students asking for extensions). Got out later in the afternoon. The bad thing is i only had 2 and 1/2 hours sleep. by the time i managed to crawl home  after going by Makati and Market Market I fell asleep. Woke up around 1 am and chat online.
I’m still scrounging around for parts for my 1:48 F 16 block 52/60 model. I’ve already gotten 2 newer models and the saddletanks. All i need now are the targetting pods and the Avionics spine which i have to order from Hannants again.
Elections next month. Know what? I still dunno who to vote for. Lots of useless actor types. The other day Lito Lapid stated "Of course mananalo ako actor ako e" Which prompted me to tick him off my list. (Course I’ll do it, I’m a thinking Person) hmmmm what else could I rant about….
Ah, the title of this entry. Lately I realized that a lot of people are bugging me to find a Girlfriend (Some of them are girls and my students) I can’t actually figure out why. Is it their urge to see me get the ball and chain? A perverse need to see me tied down? Don’t get me wrong I do like girls. In fact i flirt with some every now and then. I just haven’t met the girl who can wrestle me down (Thinking wild bull in the Rodeo show whom the cowboys  have to tie up heh heh) Lately I seem to also have these feelings for someone but i’m getting into the who should i go for mentality. It confuses my brain. My logical mind says go for this girl but my heart (patched up with 5 bypasses) tells me no go for this other girl. see what you paople got me into. Now I’m confused. I better go into training at least I’ll have a fall back just in case. Thinking of getting a dozen suntan flowers(cheaper than roses hee hee) and asking either of them out. Mayb ei should have titled this entry "Confused". Anyways my rambling mind is no being diverted to Food issues. Gotta go.

Hee hee hee

Hauntings?

2 AM I seem to have experienced some weird things. I went downstairs to find some food cause i woke up after sleeping early. I got downstairs and saw some crabs. Spent 30 full minutes trying to crack it after which i went back upstairs to finish it of. after around 10 minutes i went down stairs again to get some vinegar. I found that the tv was on and on full volume (weird) with no one around. So I switched it of got my vinegar and went back up. Around 2 PM this afternoon i was telling my brother about it while in the kitchen we were laughing it off when after he left i was just leaving th kitchen and it happened again. So off went the Tv and out came the plug. After all if it was a poltergeist it was my electricity. Weird.

Movies Boxing and stuff

Recently went movie watching and the movie was Casino Royale. to tell the truth I wasn’t expecting much on this movie cept probably that the Bond character was going to be blond. Turns out the screams by the Bond purists were pointless. This movie was GREAT! Brings back the Connery days of action packed bond with a few refined touches. 1) The Bond girls weren’t Bimbos anymore, 2)gadgets? what gadgets the cars for example wasn’t equipped with much else cept a gun compartment and a medipac good too considering the car got trashed Bond actually got a ford for a while, 3) The fight scenes not much CG and more Bourne Identitiesh considering the producers were influenced by the said movie, 4) The story, was so complex it took a while for my poor brain to catch up to the plots considering the number of double agents and layers of conspiracies involved. Overall a realistic story without the space shuttles or cars with controls to put Darth Vaders bathtub to shame.
Also watched the Paquiao Morales  match today.  Paquiao Dominated the match from the second round onwards. So much for Morales boasts he can last 20 rounds. Congrats PACMAN!!!

Zen drivers

Went out recently to look at the new mall of asia. Forgot the crowds at new malls so we ended up parking on the top floor. did I say crowds? Well the elevator was full so we used the stairs to get down to the mall level. It was ok, cept the designer needs to take another course in ergonomics cause lets face it the mall wasn’t ergonomically friendly to large crowds. It is large! The parking lot was filled to capacity and a lot of people were stuck in traffic. The outer portion apparently was open air no shade cept the roofing in the walkways so if your in one of the open areas in midday good luck! IMHO they should have put in those tent like shades in Baguio. The shops were over crowded and the food places (even if they sucked) were filled to capacity. On the positive side I found computer shops in one section. The Ice skating rink was bigger than megamall with no stupid post in the middle of the rink. It kinda melted at the part under the sun roof. Anyway we had a hard time trying to get out of there because management only activated one of the exit lanes! Jackasses!!!
After that we went to Karting and met Dorothy, Mark and his cous. Jeannie was drifting while Dorothy was fast. Mark tried to shoehorn in some apparent gaps he though were passable and collided a few times. Knocked 2 seconds of my fastest time. althoug I spun out once and hit the wall once plus got rear ended by someone. Seems I go into a sort of zen state sometimes (thats what the other guys say). heh heh. what is the sound of the wheel squeeling? Maybe i’ll try the other tracks sometime.

Ta ta for Now

April 28th, 2006 by stryker65

Well its official. I have just exported my brother and his family to the states. This means No more listening to them fighting over easily solved problems(mostly you could fix it without loosing your temper but they do this it seems just for fun) and no more noisy niece who leaves her mark by biting you when you least expect it. Down side, no more free airline food and stuff. Plus no more nieces for me to pester. Ah well life goes on I guess. I’m going carting later just to blow off steam. Hope the track won’t be too hot.

Stress Relief

April 8th, 2006 by stryker65

Well it seems that today was a "relaxing" day. It started out almost the same way my Sats have been beginning lately with Jeannie popping by this one was my fault since I invited her over. We went to Dan’s place and got my DVDs back (after so many weeks, I missed them so). We had the usual antics, she grabbed both the softest pillows AGAIN and wouldn’t give them back. I had to steal at least one back and had to resist her attempts to foist it again. Basically she camped out at my place for a while, She finally finished the Pratcett book she was reading for so long(another milestone moment) and then had lunch. She ended up eating what i was supposed to have for lunch since I grabbed something else(fish with Eggs in soup). the rest of the day at my place was plain bumming, watching a couple of episodes of Mai Otome.

The days highlight was when we went south. we buggered to Bicutan around 2PM and  Picked up my brother In Law who took us to the firing range. I ended up being range master to her "kulitness" and my nephew and we had fun wasting a couple of targets. Mostly .45 pistols for the beginners. Mooks(the nephew) basically started shooting at the target without breathing and taking his time hence half the magazine went off target. Jeannie on the other hand basically got the do’s and don’ts down so she got most of the bullets in the center mass and the neck, turns out she’s better at this than with an airsoft gun. it was a bang most of the day.
The piece de resistance was when I got to use an Uzi for the first time it was a 9mm parabellum and handled pretty much better than i  expected(was thinking tin pot sights etc) it handled better than I was expecting although it was clunky to the feel. recoil was nearly negligible with the stock I didn’t try it without. the only disappointment was when i set it to full auto it seems the PNP people were so wussy they insisted on under loading the rounds which resulted in frequent jamms. Over all the SMG was fine.

Next up was we dropped my BIN(brother in law) of and picked up my brother from work. Then drove all the way to MalacaƱan to drop of Jeannie who was getting mauled by my niece. To bad she wasn’t able to throw up on time(the niece, not Jeannie). ah, stress relief sure was fun.

I’ll try uploading the film once i figure out this grouper thing.
